Cobra Floorboards

In search of a more comfortable ride than my stock pegs after riding another bike with floorboards I decided to try out the standard Cobra Front Floorboards. The build quality on these is great. The black parts have a rich black, the chrome is brilliant, and the rubber feels solid. Just like the stock pegs these tilt upward in case they hit the ground when cornering. Overall these are easy to install and well made, and will be a great addition while riding.

The instructions were easy to follow. This model may fit a other bikes because there are different sized spacers that you must pay attention to in order to ensure your floor boards end up spaced properly. Although I though I might have to re adjust the shifter and brake pedal I did not once the floorboards were installed. Floorboards apparently come in a standard size and at first I felt that these were a little big for my 750 and that the swept version might look better (smaller) but after some time with them on the bike I am very happy. If you are interested the VT750DC swept version can be found here.  I can now move my feet closer like mid mount pegs when I need more stability cornering or set my heels on the end of the floorboards for a nice stretched out feeling when putting down the highway. Floorboards are a great way to add options to your feet placement over pegs. The cost is a little steep and there are cheaper options out there but that cost savings comes with lesser quality.  I am very happy with this addition to my DC Spirit and think adding floorboards to any shadow will benefit the rider.
